Chag Pesach sameach!

To our Jewish friends and neighbors, Happy Passover!

Passover (Pesach) 2024 begins at sundown on Monday, April 22nd and ends the evening of Tuesday, April 30th. Passover is a festival of freedom.

The Passover story comes from the book of Exodus. It commemorates the Israelites’ miraculous transition out of slavery and exit from Egypt.

A traditional Passover celebration is the seder dinner, which occurs on the first two nights of the holiday in most countries (in Israel just the first night). The seder typically follows 15 steps, including the lighting of candles, the blessing with 4 glasses of wine, the re-telling of the Exodus story through stories and song, as well as the consumption of certain foods, including matzah (unleavened bread), maror (bitter herbs), and other items rich in symbolism.
