Good Friday.

Hello all,

Our Lord has died. 

What now?

As fear and doubt creeps in, all we can focus on is what we've lost; what's gone. Hope has died. All of the promise of better things, of life together, and what God was doing in our midst is suddenly gone.

In our darkest moments we turn inward to protect ourselves from what we don't know or what might happen. Even as he suffered, even in death, what did Christ do? He pointed us towards God and called us together to act in love.

We mourn what we have lost, what has changed around us that once seemed so safe and normal but we also can't lose sight of the community Christ built to surround us when times turned dark.

Our Lord and savior faced his accusers, trusting God. May we embrace that same trust as we confront the people and forces of evil in our midst.
