... is to be enjoyed right here at CPC on Sunday, August 31.
Joining us for the 10:00am worship service that Sunday will be Patricia Turse, a harpist now based in New Jersey.
Patricia is a free-lance harpist who has been playing pedal harp since her college days. She performs as needed with community orchestras, including the Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ, the Society of Musical Arts, the South Orange Symphony, the Bergen Philharmonic, and more local orchestras. She has also performed with local theaters and bands, and is available for weddings, memorial services, parties and other events that may be enhanced by live harp music.
Patricia is a graduate of the University of Dayton in Ohio with a degree in Music Therapy, and is also a board-certified music therapist and holds certifications in NICU (neonatal) music therapy (2010) and harp therapy (2003). She has worked in pediatrics and NICU as a music therapist and harp therapist where children and babies can benefit from active music-making or passive listening to live music. She believes strongly in the healing power of music, and provides live music on the piano or harp for hospice patients, and lively musical entertainment for seniors at skilled nursing facilities.
Patricia maintains a teaching studio for students to study piano and harp.
More information about Patricia can be found on her website.
