Community Day at CPC Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Updated: 6 days ago

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

– Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Join us on Monday, January 19th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon for a meaningful Day of Service, partnering with Rise Against Hunger to help package meals for those in need around the world. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals and families to come together, to give back, and to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy.

In addition, the Art Contest entries from Mountainside students inspired by Dr. King’s message of Love, Justice, and Unity will be proudly on display.

All art contest submissions will be available for viewing at the MLK Day of Service event on Monday, Jan 19th, 10am-noon at Community Presbyterian Church, 1459 Deer Path. After this date, the artwork will be on display at the Borough of Mountainside Municipal Building for all to enjoy!

There will be a reception and winner announcements on Tuesday,  February 3rd at 6:30 pm MountainsideBorough Hall Community Room.

All are welcome! Come serve, reflect, and celebrate the spirit of compassion, love, justice, and unity with us.
