What is "Rally Day?" Find out Sept 7!

So, you've seen the date - Sunday Sept 7 - announced for Rally Day, but what actually is a Rally Day, anyway?

Great question! And we hope to see you in person that day so you can find out for yourself! But in the meantime ...

In Presbyterian churches, Rally Day marks the beginning of the new church programming year, with a focus on Christian education and formation. It is a day set aside to reassemble or “rally” after the relatively quiet summer. The day often includes the official start of Sunday School class, a review of what's to come in the next few months, and to prepare for the year ahead.

Also, it's a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with existing church members and welcome new ones, especially those returning from summer activities or new to the area.

For Rally Day 2025, CPC's activities will include special worship service at 10:30am to welcome us back after many have travelled, a Sunday school kickoff, the return of the Chancel Choir to worship services, and a fellowship event - specifically, a picnic after worship (starting around 11:30am). The picnic includes catering of BBQ items from Famous Dave's, beverages, and pot-luck salads and desserts. Each family is welcome to contribute a side dish or dessert of their choosing.

You will have the opportunity to meet and connect with others, learn about and get involved in church ministries, music, upcoming events, etc., and to enjoy a fabulous lunch (outdoors, weather permitting).

All are welcome to attend!
